I had to stay in Iquitos because I don´t have a Peruvian entry stamp on my passport, which technically makes me illegally here. But when I left from Santa Rosa (mud town right after Leticia) it was 8 at night and no indication of an immigration office amongst the stick houses and dirty scrap lumber. I tried to get on the plane to Lima last night but was stymied by the passport checker who unflinchingly told me to wait until Monday when Immigration would open. Fabulous. Peeved arguing did no good, rules are rules and rule enforcers are really annoying. So I´m in a nice hostel showering, making breakfast, reading, listening to rain, waiting. Lima's probably dumb anyway. See you tomorrow.
Fabuloso.
