Still here in Cuzco. I think I ate some Suspect Chicken last night, because I was sick this morning. It´s smoothing out after some maté. Met a funny Brazilian woman at the movie place last night, we chatted about things. She´s like a grown-up nerd but funny in that dweeby sort of way. Two more days of stillness until I summit the Picchu. I might forgo Chile and just shoot over to Paraguay after Bolivia. That means I have to miss the Atacama Desert, which is unfortunate, plus endure a 30-plus hour bus ride on the Trans-Chaco Highway. I read that it isn´t exactly up to Department of Roads standards. The Chilean bus ride woulda been like 35 hours, anyway. This should save me a few days, maybe I´ll make it into Brazil after all.
Chao for now.
Chao for now.

Brent- hope you're feeling better after the chicken and all is well, you've got some time before Pichu so you can rest your stomach and your bod. Actually I think that forgoing Chile might be a good idea- not taking anything away from the desert and the country but seems out of the way for you and would cost you time and money. Do the Bolivia thing and then head for Asuscion. Then if you have time and money you could drop down to Buenos Aires whcih isn't alllll that far from Asuscion where you would be welcome at Nellies sisters etc. Then strike out for Igusu and over to Rio in Brazil- anyway whatever works out I'm glad you're writing often. Take care- later DAD
